Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and news reporter at WPDE-TV. She later became a morning news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reportage on the streets of Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases resulted in the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI incidents. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell, after her stint at Charleston working as a journalist, was a anchor at NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring over to Access Hollywood where she is currently a co-anchor and correspondent on weekends. Alongside her job as the lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and in addition for Dateline NBC. She's reported on events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as and co-hosted a variety of Pre-ShowArrivals shows for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. The other shows she has hosted include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
